The congress was organized in accordance with the provisions of Article 36 of the updated law "On Mediation." This congress is the highest authority, which has the power to make decisions on the establishment of the Chamber and to determine the further development of the mediation system in the country.
The preparation for the congress was carried out by the organizing committee, which was established by the order of the Ministry of Justice on December 26, 2025. Draft internal regulatory documents of the Chamber were posted for open discussion; registered participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with them on the official website and suggest their revisions.
During the event, in addition to organizational issues, the delegates discussed an important strategic initiative — Kyrgyzstan's accession to the UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, known as the Singapore Convention.
The participants of the congress noted that integration into the international legal space would allow the recognition of the results of domestic mediations at a global level. This will not only strengthen the legal system of the country but also create additional guarantees for foreign investors, offering transparent and effective dispute resolution mechanisms.
