Photo EEC. Almaz Abdekirov now holds the position of Deputy Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the EEC
Abdekirov was born in 1986. In 2008, he graduated from the Kyrgyz National University with a degree in "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science." In 2023, he also completed a master's program in economics at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He began his professional journey in 2008 as an intern at the Ministry of Economy, and by the end of 2025, he had already reached the position of Head of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of this ministry.
As of January 12, 2026, he officially took office as the Deputy Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department at the EEC.
