In the EAEU, zero import duties on phosphates for fertilizer producers have been extended
The established rate is 0% of the customs value for goods such as natural calcium phosphates, aluminum-calcium natural phosphates, and phosphate chalk, and this decision will be in effect until February 29, 2028, inclusive.
According to Vaagn Kazaryan, the director of the Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation Department of the EEC, the introduction of a zero duty rate will help ensure full utilization of production capacities amid a shortage of phosphates in the EAEU.
This decision will come into effect 30 days after its official publication.
According to the Decision of the EEC Board, adopted on December 27, 2023, a temporary import duty rate of 0% on these goods was already applied from January 5, 2024, to January 4, 2026.
