According to the new rules, meetings of the competition commission will now be held as needed, whereas previously they were held at least once every six months. In addition, the minimum number of candidates required for the selection process has been reduced from 30 to 20 individuals.
The composition of the competition commission has also been clarified. It includes representatives from the presidential administration, as well as authorized bodies dealing with public and municipal service, foreign policy, justice, financial issues, and national security.
There are also restrictions on the participation of the same candidate in the qualification selection for the positions of director or deputy director of the EEC department — no more than two consecutive times. The document clarifies the grounds for the absence of commission members at meetings and provides for the possibility of holding meetings and interviews via videoconferencing.
The procedure for decision-making by the competition commission, the algorithms for computer testing, and the actions to be taken if no candidate scores the required number of points in the selection process have been changed.
The new rules will come into effect ten days after publication.
