In Bishkek, sex workers were fined 600,000 soms

Last weekend, an operation called "Den" took place in Bishkek, aimed at identifying and suppressing the activities of brothels and the provision of intimate services. This was reported by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the capital.

As a result of the raids, more than 70 individuals engaged in providing intimate services were detained and taken to the internal affairs authorities. Preventive talks and explanatory work were conducted with the detainees.

Following the raid, over 30 administrative protocols were drawn up under Article 109² "Engaging in Prostitution" of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic. Each offender was fined 20,000 soms, totaling approximately 600,000 soms.

It should be noted that work on implementing the planned activities continues.

The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek calls on residents and guests of the capital to comply with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, refrain from engaging in illegal activities, and report cases of offenses to law enforcement agencies. Ensuring public order and the safety of society remain the primary priorities of law enforcement structures.
