Sergey was found guilty of several episodes of theft.
In the summer of 2024, he broke the window of a Land Rover belonging to Amir and, not finding any money, moved on to the next car—a Toyota Spasio. There, he was apprehended by Amir when Sergey broke the window and entered the cabin. The total material damage from his actions amounted to 26,700 soms.
The investigation established that Sergey had previously also broken the window of a silver Honda Fit belonging to Zhyldyz, causing damage of 10,000 soms. He also damaged the window of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which cost Turat 10,000 soms, and broke the rear window of a Lexus NX300, causing Mira damage of 21,000 soms. From David's minibus, he stole 40,000 soms, and from Kanat's Toyota Ipsum—35,000 soms. Additionally, he took a jack worth 3,500 soms from a Honda Stepwgn, causing Ulan damage of 7,000 soms.
It should be noted that Sergey had previous convictions.
- The Oktyabrsky District Court found him guilty and sentenced him to three years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony, as well as ordered restitution for damages.
- The judicial panel of the Bishkek City Court upheld the decision of the first instance court.
Furthermore, the prosecutor noted that the courts did not consider Sergey's criminal history and previous violations of the conditions of his release, imposing the minimum penalty.
As a result, the Supreme Court partially amended the sentences, but, adding the penalties together, upheld the final decision: three years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony.
