The couple's life together lasted 14 years, and they have four children. Urmataayim claims that in recent years, her husband regularly used physical violence against her.
“Every week he raised his hand against me. I suffered broken jaws, mouth injuries, and damaged ears. He beat me so badly that I was hard to recognize. He hit me with a belt and wires on my legs and other parts of my body. I endured this for the sake of the children, hoping for his change,” she said.
According to the woman, during the winter, her husband along with his sister kicked her and the children out of the house. On January 13, she first contacted the police, but according to her statement, the investigator from the city police department refused to initiate a criminal case, passing the materials to the Public Security Service.
According to the decision of the Kyzyl-Kiya City Court on March 3, B.Y. beat Urmataayim on January 12, 2026, at around 8:30. At the court hearing, the man admitted that he struck his ex-wife out of jealousy.
Urmataayim insisted on a harsher punishment, including arrest, but the court found her ex-husband guilty under Article 70 of the Code of Offenses and imposed 40 hours of community service.
The woman noted that her ex-husband works as an inspector for the Tax Service in Kyzyl-Kiya and expressed the opinion that a person who has committed violence should not hold a government position or perform as a singer. She also doubts the objectivity of the court's decision and requests an investigation into the actions of the judge who handled her case.
