The law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation to fully and objectively examine all circumstances of the case.
Recent media publications have featured video materials from the investigation by the State Tax Service titled "Oil for the insiders: how Kyrgyzneftegaz was ruined," which reveal possible corrupt actions by officials of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz." This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the provided data, company employees, abusing their positions, in collaboration with affiliated enterprises, created illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants.
During the inspection, it was established that officials, recognizing the strategic importance of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz," which is wholly owned by the state, and their responsibilities to ensure its effective functioning, acted contrary to these obligations.
"Against the backdrop of rising fuel prices in the country, instead of taking measures to stabilize the situation, they entered into a preliminary conspiracy with unidentified representatives of state bodies responsible for oversight in this area. This created conditions for the activities of certain affiliated companies, allowing them to derive illegal material benefits, including through tax evasion and other mandatory payments," the statement clarified.
In connection with these facts, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 336 "corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, investigative and procedural actions are ongoing, aimed at a complete and impartial investigation of the circumstances of the case, as well as identifying and holding accountable the guilty parties.
