According to preliminary investigation data, a resident of Bishkek accused her acquaintance of rape. She conspired with a police officer to obtain money for resolving the issue regarding the criminal case.
This incident has been classified under Article 208, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic as "Extortion by a group of individuals."
On January 17, GKNB officers, together with the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained police lieutenant A.E.B., who works in the Special Operations Battalion of the Internal Affairs Department of the October District, and the complainant T.A. while they were receiving an amount of 350,000 soms.
After the detention, the Lenin District Court of Bishkek placed the accused in the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
