An international arrest warrant had been issued for the detainee in connection with a case of causing bodily harm, for which he could face a penalty of up to five years in prison.
According to police information, the incident that led to the international search occurred in 2023 in Shopokov, Kyrgyzstan. The investigation suggests that the man initiated a fight and struck another person several times, inflicting serious injuries.
The arrest took place during a patrol aimed at ensuring public safety: the Kyrgyzstani was spotted in a public place, and a check revealed an active arrest warrant.
After completing all necessary paperwork, the detainee was sent to the Central Investigative Court of the National Court in Madrid, which will consider the issue of his extradition to Kyrgyzstan.
