According to law enforcement agencies, on December 5, 2025, O. A., born in 1978, contacted the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department with a statement that her husband K. A., under the influence of alcohol, had caused a scandal and began to beat her.
This incident was registered, after which a preliminary investigation began. During the investigation, it was revealed that K. A. had repeatedly used violence against his wife in the past. Based on the collected evidence, a criminal case was initiated under Article 138 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Torture".
A suspect in domestic violence against his wife was detained in Uzgen.
The suspect, K. A., born in 1974, was detained on January 24, 2026, and placed in a temporary detention facility. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
