In Osh Region, fines totaling 68,000 soms were issued for illegal hunting

In the Osh region, a raid took place during which hunters violating hunting regulations in the Kara-Suu and Nookat districts were caught.

According to information provided by the press service of the southern branch of NABU Kyrgyzstan, the event was organized in collaboration with representatives of the Department for the Protection of Natural Territories and Biodiversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, as well as police officers.

The raid began in the Kara-Suu district, where it was established that two individuals had violated hunting rules. Fines of 12,500 soms each were imposed on them under Article 263 of the Code of Offenses, along with an additional 3,000 soms each in accordance with Article 133. The total amount of fines amounted to 28,000 soms.

A similar inspection took place in the Nookat district, where on the Zylgyn-Sai site in the village of Töölos, four citizens were found to be illegally keeping six birds in a cage. Each of them was fined 10,000 soms, totaling 40,000 soms.

Thus, the total amount of fines reached 68,000 soms. During the raid, explanatory work was also carried out with local residents about the importance of environmental protection and compliance with hunting regulations.
