On January 30, the U.S. Department of Justice released a significant volume of materials related to the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of organizing human trafficking for sexual exploitation. More than 3 million files are now publicly available, including over 2,000 video recordings and about 180,000 images, reports CNN.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche explained that some materials have been edited: personal information of victims and explicit images have been excluded. However, as CNN emphasizes, unedited names of some victims have already been identified in the published materials.

The released documents reference Donald Trump. In particular, one of the internal FBI documents contains anonymous oral allegations of sexual abuse, including accusations of the rape of minors. This is internal correspondence among FBI and DOJ employees related to inquiries to the National Threat Operations Center (NTOC). The document emphasizes that these allegations are not conclusions of the investigation and are not supported by evidence; in several reports, the identity of the complainants could not be established, and some information was deemed false.

Todd Blanche also added that the White House did not influence the publication process. "Claims that the DOJ should protect Donald Trump are not true. We always act in the interest of the victims," he stated.

Some materials address the circumstances of Epstein's death in 2019 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. One document contains testimony from an unnamed facility employee, stating that Epstein allegedly attempted to take his own life 17 days before his death. It also mentions that mandatory checks of the cells were not conducted on the night of his death, and the surveillance systems were not functioning.

Additionally, the document collection includes correspondence from Epstein with the account The Duke from 2010. The letters, signed with the initials "A," contain a signature resembling "HRH Duke of York KG." This correspondence discusses private meetings and dinners, but no direct indications of illegal activities were found in these letters.

The published materials also mention other well-known individuals. In particular, the documents contain information about Epstein's contacts with Elon Musk and unverified information about Bill Gates. The DOJ emphasizes that such data requires further verification and does not represent established facts.

The process of publishing materials related to the Epstein case began in December 2025 after the passage of a law signed by Donald Trump, which required the DOJ to disclose all documents related to this case. According to the department, the archive contains about 6 million materials, of which more than 3.5 million files had been released by the end of January.
