Athlete Tsevendas will run the route Ulaanbaatar–Beijing–Tianjin

On February 5, honored athlete and international master of mountaineering Tsevendas Bazarhand began his 1600-kilometer run along the route Ulaanbaatar–Beijing–Tianjin. This was reported by IKON.

Before starting the run, Tsevendas noted that there are serious problems among youth and children, such as depression and screen addiction. He emphasized that instead of merely talking about a healthy lifestyle, he aims to set an example through his actions. “People have become reluctant to even go to the nearest bus stop. There is no need to be afraid of winter running. Athletes possess outstanding endurance. Physical activity among youth has sharply decreased, and the abuse of digital technologies leads to mental health issues. This is a global problem, not just ours. People fear the cold, but we must demonstrate that winter running is possible,” he said.

Tsevendas also added: “Now I have a new goal, and I am starting a new run. In the context of growing negativity in society, I hope to bring positivity through winter running. I have prepared thoroughly and created a detailed plan, especially considering the part of the route that goes through China. Initially, I planned to camp in a tent, but now I will be accompanied by a vehicle, and two people will be with me for safety.”

The run began in Ulaanbaatar, and the route will pass through Zamiin-Uud in Mongolia, Ereenhot, Hohhot, Zhangjiakou, and the Great Wall of China. Tsevendas plans to cover about 42 kilometers a day, aiming to complete the 1600-kilometer journey in 40-45 days.
