Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RBC, called this assassination attempt a terrorist act, claiming that its aim is to disrupt negotiations with Ukraine.
Lavrov refrained from making predictions about the further course of the negotiation process, noting that this is a matter for the country's leadership.
“This terrorist act once again confirms the intentions of the regime [of Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky to provoke and disrupt negotiations, as well as the desire to keep its Western allies from retreating from the course towards a just settlement,” the minister added.
