In an interview with The New York Times, Trump did not disclose the names of the candidates but noted that he has "three very good picks."

Discussing a possible change in leadership in Iran, he proposed a scenario in which Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro seizes power.

Previously, Trump mentioned that the American armed forces are prepared to continue military operations against Iran for four to five weeks if necessary.

On February 28 of this year, the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, which, according to Israeli authorities, aims to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons. Trump also expressed intentions to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industries, calling on Iranian citizens to overthrow the regime.

On the night of March 1, Iran announced the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with reports indicating that among the deceased are also family members.

Strikes are being carried out on both military targets and civilian infrastructure in Iran and other countries in the region, to which Tehran responds with attacks on Israeli territory and American bases in the Middle East.
