A new message has been posted on social media by Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, in which they express gratitude to the people of Venezuela and everyone who supports them in difficult times.

In their address, they noted that they have received numerous "messages, letters, and prayers," which, according to them, "strengthen the spirit." The authors called for the preservation of peace, the strengthening of national unity, as well as dialogue and reconciliation.

"No one should deviate from the path of dialogue, coexistence, and respect, for this is the way to the Homeland and goodness," their publication states. Comments on this post have been disabled.

It has been reported that Maduro and his wife are in the Brooklyn detention center awaiting trial on charges of drug trafficking and other crimes.

It is worth noting that earlier, in connection with International Women's Day on March 8, Maduro's son posted a message from Maduro on social media. In that message, Venezuelans were urged to maintain faith and expressed confidence that the country would overcome its difficulties.

It should be noted that on January 3, the U.S. conducted a special operation to arrest Nicolás Maduro. His wife Cilia Flores was also detained. On January 5, they appeared before a federal court in New York, where they did not plead guilty. Currently, Venezuela is led by the appointed president Delcy Rodríguez, who previously held the position of vice president.
