Trump and Zandanšatar signed an agreement on Mongolia's membership in the Council of Peace

This statement from Trump was part of an event where it was also announced that Mongolia has joined the Council of Peace, which has already been joined by about 20 countries. The information is reported by MiddleAsianNews.

“I congratulate Prime Minister Zandanšatar and express gratitude to Mongolia for becoming a founding member of the Council of Peace. Under President Trump's leadership, this historic initiative will finally lead to peace in Gaza,” wrote the U.S. Ambassador to Ulaanbaatar, Richard Buangan, in his post on X.

According to Bloomberg, each country will be part of the council for a term of three years. However, Trump plans to sell permanent membership in the council for $1 billion, with the collected funds directed towards the reconstruction of Gaza.

The chairman of the Council will be Donald Trump, who will have the authority to approve decisions, although they must be made by a majority vote. Voting is scheduled to take place at least once a year.

Trump also noted that the Council of Peace will be a competent body that will achieve what the UN has not been able to do, and despite cooperation with it, may even replace it.
