







In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a conference titled "Knowledge is Power: Fighting Cancer Together" was held in honor of World Cancer Day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health.
According to the department, this event became a significant platform for professional communication and experience exchange in the field of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Participants included Deputy Minister of Health Bakytbek Kadyraliev, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Mahabat Mavlyanova and Gulnara Baatyrova, leaders of the National Center for Oncology and Hematology, as well as specialists from the Republican Center for Strengthening Health and Mass Communication (RCSHMC), leading oncologists, and experts in oncological hematology.
The conference discussed important issues regarding the state of oncological care in the country, existing problems and ways to solve them, early diagnosis, accessibility of specialized assistance, and the development of oncological hematology. Participants paid special attention to intersectoral cooperation, raising public awareness about cancer, and the role of prevention in reducing morbidity and mortality from oncological diseases.
Additionally, one of the reports was dedicated to the work of the RCSHMC and its contribution to cancer prevention, presenting key areas of the Center's activities in informing citizens, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and advancing screening and preventive examination programs.
Furthermore, RCSHMC staff distributed informational and educational materials among conference participants, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures, early diagnosis, and timely detection of oncological diseases.
As noted in the report, "Early seeking of medical assistance significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and complete recovery."
