Damirbek Osmonov, born on January 12, 1982, in Osh, received his education under a government program at Hacettepe University in Turkey, where he studied from 1999 to 2005 at the Faculty of Medicine.
From 2006 to 2012, he completed his residency at the Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Research Center in Istanbul.
After that, from April to November 2012, Osmonov worked at Taksim German Hospital in the cardiology department.
From November 2012 until 2015, he served as the head of the cardiology department at the "Sema" clinic in Almaty.
Since March 2016, Osmonov has been working at the "BICARD" clinic as a cardiologist, functional diagnostics physician, and invasive arrhythmologist, and he is also the chief physician of this clinic.
He is a member of professional organizations such as the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the American College of Cardiology.
Additionally, Osmonov holds the position of editor-in-chief of the international publication World Research Journal of Cardiology and is a visiting professor at the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
It should also be noted that he was a member of the Scientific Council at the Ministry of Health. In December 2022, by the decree of President Sadyr Japarov, he was awarded the "Dank" medal.
As Minister of Health, Osmonov will replace Kanybek Dosmambetov, who held this position from December 1, 2025, to February 24, 2026.
