Jalil Sheishenov Appointed Director of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation

According to the Ministry of Health, Jalil Sheishenov has been appointed as the head of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation.

Previously, this position was held by Samidin Shabyraliyev, who left his post due to identified violations in the work.

Jalil Orozobekovich Sheishenov, born in 1975, has a higher medical education. In 1999, he graduated from the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy with a degree in "General Medicine," after which he completed a clinical residency in cardiovascular surgery at the Scientific and Educational Center of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy from 1999 to 2002.

From 2002 to 2007, Sheishenov worked as a cardiac surgeon in the department of acquired heart defects at the Research Institute.

Then, from 2007 to 2021, he headed the department of cardiac surgery at the Scientific Clinical Center for Cardiac Surgery and Transplantation in Taraz, Kazakhstan. From 2021 to 2023, he served as the deputy director of this center for medical work.

From the beginning of 2023 until January 2026, Sheishenov worked as the chief physician of the Scientific Clinical Center "Bishkek Cardio."

In 2012, he defended his PhD dissertation at the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation. Sheishenov is the author of four patents and more than 40 scientific articles, as well as 12 reports presented at international conferences.

From 2010 to 2023, he also worked as the chief specialist in cardiac surgery and an independent expert for the Health Department of the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan. His professional career includes membership in the scientific societies EACTS and EAACTS.

His main areas of professional activity include surgery for congenital heart defects and minimally invasive cardiac surgery techniques. Additionally, he is actively involved in organizational and methodological work and conducts consultations using air ambulance services and telemedicine.

For his work in Kazakhstan, Sheishenov has been awarded honorary certificates from the Ministry of Health and the badge "Excellence in Healthcare."
