Open Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan proposed to create a unified tourist brand

In Bishkek, at the business forum "B5+1: Central Asia - USA," Erdenet Kasymov, head of the tourism department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, presented his vision for integrating the region as a single tourist destination.

He noted that combining efforts in the tourism sector could yield significant and rapid economic benefits for all Central Asian countries.

Kasymov also added that for foreign tourists, especially from the USA, Europe, and Asia, this region appears as a cohesive whole. The main interest of international tour operators is focused on combined tours along the Silk Road, which can cover from three to five countries. In this regard, Kyrgyzstan is actively promoting the concept of Open Central Asia, which will complement national tourism brands.

Key initiatives were announced at the forum:

Kasymov emphasized that the quality of service at all points along the route is a decisive factor for the region's success, and the development of transport logistics is critically important for increasing tourist flow, as reported by the Ministry of Economy.
