The First Deputy Prime Minister reminded about the existing mechanisms for insuring risks in agriculture.
Daniyar Amangeldiev, holding the position of First Deputy Prime Minister, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh reported that the republican budget does not provide for payments to farmers in the event of mudflows or crop failures.
This issue was raised by deputy Aysarakan Abdibaeva, emphasizing that in conditions of budget surplus, it is reasonable to consider the possibility of compensation for affected farmers.
In response, Amangeldiev pointed to the existence of a state insurance company that offers farmers the opportunity to insure their land plots and crops.
According to him, agriculture is a type of entrepreneurial activity, and if the state begins to compensate losses to farmers, it will have to do the same for other sectors of business.
