The Housing Committee approved the draft law on improving legal norms in the halal industry in the first reading.

The Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, dealing with issues of finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, has adopted the draft law "On Amendments to the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Offenses" in the first reading.

The draft law was initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, and its main provisions were presented by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sultan Akhmatov.

The aim of this draft law is to establish and improve legal norms related to the halal industry. Akhmatov emphasized that there is active development in this area in the Kyrgyz Republic.

He added that with the increasing interest in halal products and services, as well as the need to protect consumer rights and ensure fair competition, there is a necessity for stricter control and the implementation of clear legal norms to regulate the halal industry.
