According to the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, trade volume between China and Central Asia increased by 12% in 2025, as reported by the Xinhua News Agency citing a source.

Trade cooperation between China and the Central Asian regions has shown significant growth, reaching 106.3 billion dollars in trade turnover, which is 12% more compared to 2024.

For the first time in history, the trade volume has exceeded the mark of 100 billion dollars and demonstrates steady growth over the past five years. Last year, China became the largest trading partner for the Central Asian countries.

Exports from China to the region increased by 11%, amounting to 71.2 billion dollars, driven by the growth in the production of mechanical and electrical goods, as well as high technologies.

Imports, on the other hand, rose by 14%, reaching 35.1 billion dollars. The success of trade is attributed to effective cross-border payment cooperation.

The Ministry of Commerce of China plans to continue optimizing the trade structure, developing new business models, and supporting the establishment of institutional mechanisms.
