The State Tax Service (STS) recently organized a working meeting focused on current issues related to cashless payments in business.
Among the participants were the deputies of the chairman of the STS — Azat Almanbetov and Kubanychbek Isabekov, as well as representatives from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, the Interbank Processing Center, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan.
The main goal of the meeting was to develop joint strategies and solutions aimed at improving conditions for entrepreneurs and consumers, ensuring the reliable operation of cashless payment instruments, and creating equal conditions for doing business.
During the discussions, participants addressed issues related to the use of cashless payments, including QR code technologies and electronic wallets. Special attention was paid to the practical difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when accepting such payments, as well as the need to enhance the convenience, transparency, and security of transactions.
Problems arising during the transition to payment instruments registered for individual entrepreneurs and legal entities were also discussed. Participants agreed that resolving these issues falls within the competence of banks and relevant organizations.
Additionally, topics such as speeding up the crediting of funds, optimizing tariffs, reducing administrative procedures for opening accounts and electronic wallets, and other technical aspects affecting business operations were discussed.
All attendees expressed their readiness for constructive cooperation and joint development of solutions that promote the development of cashless transactions, taking into account the interests of both businesses and citizens.
The STS will continue its systematic work to create favorable conditions for doing business, developing modern payment infrastructure, and strengthening the transparent economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
