According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the area covered by the new substation is 500 square meters.
The project was implemented thanks to the joint efforts of JSC "NESC" and the city administration of Batken.
A total of 55 million 758 thousand soms was allocated for the implementation of the project, of which:
• The Batken Electric Networks Enterprise purchased additional materials worth 19 million 958 thousand soms.
• The Batken City Hall purchased equipment worth 35 million 800 thousand soms.
The construction work was carried out by the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise using its own resources.
The opening of the substation will ensure electricity supply for such facilities as: the village of Jangy-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential area "Batken City," a new stadium for 10,000 spectators, houses in the Chet-Bulak quarter, the village of Buzhum, a school being built with assistance from the Russian Federation, as well as 2,224 residential houses.
In addition, the new substation will provide electricity for the following substations:
• Kara-Bulak 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-1 35/10 kV;
• Kara-Tokoy-2 35/10 kV;
• Shirech 35/10 kV.
The substation is connected to the new 110 kV overhead power line "Aigul-Tash – Central," which is located just 150 meters away from it.
