A new 110/35/10 kilovolt substation 'Suu-Bashi' has been put into operation in Batken. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

The head of the ministry, Talaybek Ibraev, emphasized the need to increase capacity due to the constant growth in the number of consumers during the opening of the energy facility.

"In 2025, we implemented several substations, upgraded hydro units at major hydropower plants, launched small hydropower plants and solar stations. With the growth of residential complexes and factories, the need for increased generation is becoming more acute. Each new substation is critically important for providing the population with electricity and heat," he added.

The area of the 'Suu-Bashi' substation is 500 square meters. The project was carried out by JSC 'NESK' in collaboration with the Batken city administration, and the total cost of the work reached 55 million 758 thousand soms:

The new substation will supply electricity to 2,224 residential houses, the village of Zhany-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential area 'Batken City', a new stadium for 10,000 seats, the 'Chet-Bulak' quarter, the village of Buzhum, and the under-construction Russian school.

Additionally, the 'Suu-Bashi' substation will supply power to four other substations: 'Kara-Bulak', 'Kara-Tokoy-1', 'Kara-Tokoy-2', and 'Shirech'.

The facility is connected to a new 110 kilovolt power transmission line 'Aigul-Tash — Central'.
