- On February 4, 2026, a two-day business forum B5+1 began in Bishkek, bringing together participants from the business community and government agencies of Central Asian countries and the United States.

The event was organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in collaboration with the Cabinet of Ministers.

Delegations from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan are present at the forum, along with representatives from the USA, business associations, international companies, financial institutions, and experts.

Over the course of two days, participants will discuss issues related to improving the investment and business environment in Central Asia. The focus will be on topics such as agricultural development, tourism, the financial sector, transportation and logistics, e-commerce and information technology, as well as cooperation in critical minerals.

The forum's program includes panel discussions and open dialogues between the public sector and business. Leaders of the B5+1 working groups will present updated regional business agendas and recommendations for improving regulatory policies. It is expected that participants from the Central Asian governments will outline their positions and commitments regarding the implementation of the proposed initiatives.

Economy Minister Bakyt Sydykov noted that the business community is becoming an important participant in economic reforms, and the B5+1 platform provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries to directly convey their proposals to governments and international partners.

According to him, the forum has three main significances for Kyrgyzstan: the development of regional cooperation in logistics, trade, energy, and digital solutions; improving the business climate by reducing administrative barriers, expanding tools for SMEs, and increasing market accessibility; as well as strengthening international partnerships, including with the participation of the United States, which he believes contributes to increasing investor confidence and opens new opportunities for trade, investment, and technological cooperation.
