Growth in all sectors: The Bishkek City Hall reported on the socio-economic development of the city

Discussing socio-economic development, Baigonchokov noted that in 2025, the city hall actively implemented state and municipal programs, taking into account the ongoing ATP. The main areas of work included supporting sustainable economic growth, attracting investments, developing infrastructure, and improving the efficiency of city management, especially in the context of its expansion.

According to the National Statistical Committee, over the past 5 years, the gross regional product of Bishkek has tripled. By the end of 2024, it amounted to 744 billion soms, corresponding to a growth rate of 115.8%.

The volume of industrial production also significantly increased — over the last 5 years, it grew by 3.6 times. In 2025, the city's enterprises produced goods worth 130.4 billion soms, with a physical volume index of 123.1%. An important role in this process was played by the "100 Industrial Enterprises - 2025" project, under which 6 new enterprises were officially opened.

The market services sector also showed positive dynamics, increasing 5.4 times over 5 years. The volume of services provided in 2025 amounted to 1 trillion 879 billion 238.3 million soms, which is 114.5% more compared to the previous year.

The consumer price index, reflecting the level of inflation, reached 107.8% in 2025 compared to 2024. In the context of increasing market activity, the city hall paid special attention to price stability and protecting citizens' interests. As part of price control on meat products, 461 raids were conducted with the participation of the antimonopoly service and other authorities.

The construction industry also demonstrated significant growth, which is an important indicator of investment activity. The gross output in this sector increased by 2.3 times over the past 5 years, amounting to 143.5 billion soms, with a 19.7% increase in 2025.

The average salary in Bishkek increased by 2.4 times over the last 5 years. From January to November 2025, it amounted to 54,672.9 soms, which is 24.4% higher than in the same period of 2024.

It should also be noted that the minimum subsistence level increased by 169.4% over the past 5 years. In 2025, it amounted to 8,984.12 soms per person, which is 10.0% higher than in 2024.

As of January 1, 2026, the number of officially registered unemployed decreased to 962 people, which is 2,847 fewer compared to 2020.
