- During the meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration, a draft law "On Ratification of the Protocol Amending the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Border Crossing Points dated December 25, 2003, signed on August 22, 2025, in Bishkek" was presented and approved in the first reading.

Abdikarym Alimbayev, the chairman of the State Border Service, delivered the report.

He noted that the proposed changes concern the status of the border crossing points "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" ("Kamyshanovka-automobile") and "Kichi-Kapka-automobile." Their status is planned to be changed from bilateral to multilateral (international), as well as to transition the operating mode of the "Tömönkü-Chüy-automobile" point to round-the-clock instead of only during daylight hours.

According to Alimbayev, these changes are necessary to create comfortable conditions and develop the tourism sector, including increasing the flow of goods and passengers, as well as improving infrastructure, which will contribute to the influx of foreign tourists.
