The Prime Minister of Hungary responded to Zelensky: We will not be able to reach mutual understanding

During his speech in Davos, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made an ironic remark, to which Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban responded by publishing his comment on the social network X.

“Dear Volodymyr Zelensky,

I do not see the possibility for our mutual understanding. I represent the Hungarian people as a free person, while you are in a difficult position, unable or unwilling to end the war, despite all the assistance that the President of the United States has provided over the past four years.”

“Despite your attempts to appease me, we cannot support your military actions. However, Ukrainians, despite your carefully chosen insults, can count on our assistance in providing electricity and fuel, as well as support for refugees from Ukraine.”

“Life will set everything in its place, and everyone will get what they deserve.”

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky had commented on the Hungarian Prime Minister as follows:

“Every Viktor who lives at the expense of Europe and tries to sell its interests deserves a slap on the back of the head. If he feels comfortable in Moscow, he should not be allowed to turn European capitals into 'Moscows'.”

The President of Ukraine also harshly criticized Europe, stating: “Europe is no longer a real political force: European leaders are opposing each other, and this continent is increasingly becoming just a geographical concept.”

“We will act independently regarding Russian ships, as Europe is in a state of waiting, hoping that someone will do something.”

Additionally, Zelensky noted that “there has been a lot of talk about protests in Iran, but they have been suppressed in blood,” adding that “the world has not provided enough assistance to the Iranian people,” distracted by Christmas and New Year celebrations.

“When politicians returned to work and began to form their positions, the ayatollah had already killed thousands of people. What will happen to Iran after this bloodshed?”

He emphasized that the survival of the regime sends a clear signal to aggressors: “kill enough people — and you will remain in power.”

Zelensky also compared the EU's inability to act to Trump's operation in Venezuela, noting that, despite differing opinions on actions, Maduro is facing trial in New York, “while Putin is not.” He added that “the largest war in Europe since World War II has been ongoing for four years, and the instigator of this war is not only free but is also fighting for his frozen assets in Europe.”

According to the president, Putin is achieving “certain successes” as he influences “how frozen Russian assets should be used,” referring to the EU's inability to make progress in seizing them last month.
