Starting from February 11, a new cargo marking system using navigation seals will come into effect in the EAEU countries, according to the Traceability Agreement. This was announced by Elimbek Kanybek uulu, head of the EAEU Coordination Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, at a press conference at the Kabar agency.
According to him, the implementation of this mechanism will occur in stages. Initially, seals will be placed on goods included in the main list of the agreement, with further expansion of the list.
In the first stage, the marking will apply to sanctioned goods, excise products such as alcohol and tobacco, as well as certain groups of light industry goods.
“Currently, we are already discussing the expansion of the list of goods that will be included in the next phase. However, starting from February 11, navigation seals will become mandatory for the listed categories,” noted Elimbek Kanybek uulu.
