He noted that the implementation of this system is a phased process that requires careful analysis, as the price of the navigation seal directly affects the cost of the final product.
“At the moment, we are working on identifying the list of goods. However, it is too early to name specific items, as they may change before final approval,” he added.
Aigul Mambetova, head of the methodological work department for the EAEU at the State Tax Service, mentioned that within the framework of mutual trade, the main categories of goods have already been identified, including alcoholic and tobacco products, as well as goods subject to sanctions.
She emphasized that the process of forming the list will occur in stages. Each member state of the Eurasian Economic Union independently determines which goods require the application of navigation seals, after which proposals are submitted for consideration by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
A decision on this matter is made only with unanimous support from all member countries of the union.
