- On the air of the radio, the head of the development department of the State Customs Infrastructure JSC, Igor Petrukhin, spoke about the work of navigation seals, which are modern electronic devices that transmit data about the movement of cargo transport in real time.

Petrukhin noted that these devices have the functions of a "smart" seal and differ significantly from conventional mechanical locking devices. Navigation seals are equipped with a built-in battery, an automatic locking mechanism, and a data transmission system. They record the location of the vehicle, speed, and also respond to emergency situations such as tampering, damage, deviation from the route, or loss of connection.

The implementation of navigation seals in the EAEU countries is aimed at creating a "green corridor" for cargo transportation. This allows regulatory authorities to access information about vehicle movements in real-time, which, in turn, reduces the number of inspections. According to a company representative, this measure can reduce the risks of smuggling and speed up the cargo delivery process.

The main advantage for participants in foreign economic activity lies in the reduction of downtime at borders and an increase in transportation speed.

Petrukhin explained that the cost of using seals includes three components: the installation of the device, tracking through the transit territory, and its dismantling at the destination point. In international transportation, the national operator of the country of departure collects fees for the entire route, including the services of operators in transit countries and the country of destination. Tariffs are set by the national operators of the EAEU countries and published on their official websites.
