At the meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council on economics, budget, finance, and investments on February 16, deputy Taalaybek Sariev ("Yntymak") emphasized the issue of garbage disposal from legal entities.

Sariev addressed Joldosh Chushtukov, the director of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk," with the question: "You sign contracts with legal entities, such as construction companies and stores. Why does your equipment only collect food waste and not garbage? Why don't you take bricks and concrete if they are on the site?"

In response, Chushtukov explained that under the terms of the contract, the enterprise is only responsible for the removal of solid household waste. A separate agreement is required for the disposal of construction or industrial waste. He noted that many business entities, citing the existence of a contract for solid waste collection, also dispose of construction waste.

In response to this statement, Sariev countered, pointing out the small volumes of waste: "On average, we have only five containers under the contracts with business entities. Construction waste is usually no more than two buckets. If we were talking about 50 containers of construction waste, then that would be a different matter."
