Rahmon promised to eliminate the electricity deficit in Tajikistan by 2027
Discussing the current situation with energy, Emomali Rahmon pointed to the growing population, the opening of new enterprises, and the decreasing water level in the Nurek Reservoir as the main reasons for the deficit. At the same time, he emphasized that these factors cannot serve as an excuse for such problems. The president also noted that annual electricity losses in Tajikistan reach 3 billion kilowatt-hours. Authorities plan to reduce these losses by introducing billing meters.
