The press service of the Ministry of Education reported that more than 100 computer science teachers from various regions of the country gathered for this event. Representatives from the ministry, the World Bank, the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, and organizations from the fields of education and information technology were also present.
Lira Samykbaeva, Deputy Minister of Education, emphasized at the opening of the forum that the development of digital skills among educators is a crucial condition for the successful digitalization of the educational system. She noted that in many countries, the subject of computer science is shifting from a traditional approach to the active use of digital platforms and interactive resources, which not only updates the content of the subject but also makes learning more practical and accessible for students.
During the discussions, forum participants examined the use of digital platforms for managing the educational process and shared ideas on increasing their application in schools.
According to the Ministry of Education, the "Digital Skills Development" project was launched to enhance the digital competencies of both teachers and students in Kyrgyzstan. The pilot project involved 150 out of 1,200 schools in the "Education for the Future" initiative. Within the framework of the project, tools for assessing digital skills were developed, and professional development events for educators were organized.
Additionally, the concept of the first online school "Tunguch" was presented at the forum, and discussions were held on the prospects of applying artificial intelligence in the educational process and new opportunities for national educational platforms.
