Experts note that in Kyrgyzstan, the sale of nasvay is not regulated by legislation, and it is available for purchase in compact packages. The absence of a strong smell, like that of cigarettes, creates a false impression of its harmlessness. As a result, nasvay becomes particularly dangerous and attracts both adults and youth, including children.
Furthermore, the production process of nasvay is not controlled, and its composition includes substances that pose serious health risks.
The BCUP emphasizes that the use of nasvay has a destructive effect on the body:
- central nervous system — can cause increased irritability, distractibility, depressive states, memory deterioration, and frequent headaches;
- cardiovascular system — leads to narrowing of blood vessels, lack of oxygen and nutrients, as well as disruption of heart rhythm;
- gastrointestinal tract — causes intoxication, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gastritis, and ulcers;
- reproductive system — may reduce the production and activity of sex hormones;
- oral cavity — leads to unpleasant odor, burning and pain in the gums, tooth decay, and the formation of ulcers and sores.
Particular concern is raised by the risk of delays and disruptions in the physical, intellectual, and psychological development of children and adolescents.
