In the city of Kara-Kul, they reported on the reduction of poverty and employment measures based on the results of 2025.

Today, January 26, a city council meeting took place in the city of Kara-Kul, dedicated to summarizing the results of 2025. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.

Participating in the event were the mayor of the city, Nurtilek Orozbaev, the head of the presidential representative office in the Jalal-Abad region, Adilet Akbaraliev, the chairman of the city council Chyngyz Kimsanov, heads of institutions and enterprises, as well as responsible employees.

The agenda of the council included issues related to the implementation of the city’s socio-economic development program for 2025 and the approved action plan, as well as tasks set for 2026. During the meeting, detailed information was presented on the work completed in 2025 in social, infrastructural, and economic areas.

It was reported that 7 projects were implemented with grants aimed at stimulating socio-economic development. Among them are: the renovation of buildings for Family Medicine Centers No. 2 and No. 3; asphalting of internal roads leading to social facilities; construction of a sidewalk from Serya Street to the central market; renovation of the administrative building of the "Kayin" recreation area; updating the heating systems of kindergartens "Kelechek" and "Balastan," as well as the renovation of the public preventive center building in the village of Ketmen-Tobo.

Additionally, through the Jalal-Abad region development fund, work was carried out to create a situational center, provide digital radio communication, and equip the kindergarten "Kelechek" with technical equipment and furniture. It was also noted that special equipment was acquired through leasing for the management of the city’s municipal property.

In the field of social protection and labor, it was reported that the poverty level decreased by 61 families compared to last year. Under the "Social Contract" program, 18 families received non-repayable support of 150,000 soms and started activities in livestock breeding, beekeeping, taxi and freight transportation, trade, and beauty salon services. The number of unemployed decreased by 19 people, totaling 81%. A total of 147 citizens were employed in permanent jobs, and 30 people underwent training as seamstresses and PC operators. Additionally, 47 people were engaged in paid community work.

In the field of education, students took 1st and 3rd places in regional Olympiads in chemistry, physics, English, and Russian languages, as well as 2nd place in the national Olympiad "Zhash Pifagorlоr." Furthermore, they participated in the first national competition "Zhash Talanttar" and the XII national open championship "Premium–2025," where they secured prize-winning places.

In the healthcare sector, to support young professionals, funds were allocated from the local budget at the initiative of the mayor Nurtilek Orozbaev, and currently, 5 students are studying at medical institutions.

It was also noted that the city of Kara-Kul ranked 3rd among 31 cities in the national competition "City Friendly to Children and Youth."

Following the council meeting, the head of the regional representative office raised issues regarding the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the shortage of personnel in the education sector. He received responses from the city leadership regarding the work being conducted by the relevant specialists and the planned activities.

The issues discussed at the council were reviewed, specific additions were made, and concrete instructions were given to the heads of the relevant institutions for execution.
