A recent mailing from the municipal territorial administration No. 106 has raised concerns among the residents of Novopavlovka. It mentioned the ongoing discussion of two alternative routes for the construction of a road on Profsoyuznaya Street: one of them passes through the cemetery, while the other goes around it.
The letter also refuted the information about payments of 100,000 soms to relatives for burials, as well as the claim that all costs for reburials would be borne by the families of the deceased. It was clarified that only partial relocation of graves may occur within 10 meters from the high-voltage poles.
Representatives of the MTU urge citizens not to succumb to rumors and request assistance in locating the relatives mentioned in the list.
"Due to the spread of a lot of inaccurate information in society, we find it necessary to provide an official clarification. Currently, options for the road route along Profsoyuznaya Street are being considered, including the possibility of passing through the cemetery area. We clarify that the information stating that all material costs will fall on the relatives during reburial is not true," the message states.
Information about payments of 100,000 soms for each burial has also been refuted.
If the road passes through the cemetery intersecting with the high-voltage line, its route will run between two poles. The relocation of graves will only affect areas within 10 meters on each side of these poles, considering the necessary clearance.
Therefore, residents can be assured that the question of relocating the entire cemetery is not on the table.
To combat the spread of false information, it has been decided to create a WhatsApp group for relatives of those buried in the area of the high-voltage poles, to provide timely updates.
We recommend contacting the Bishkek Funeral Services Agency and MTU No. 106 for official information," the representatives of the administration added.
Additionally, the MTU requests help in locating the relatives from the following list of the deceased:

Local residents express confusion as to why, if a decision has not yet been made, lists of the deceased are already being compiled and data on relatives is being requested.
For reference, a road is being constructed in the area of the village that may potentially pass through the cemetery, with the last burial planned for 2024. This project aims to alleviate traffic flow at the new Osh market, the Western bus station, and at Manas Airport.
