The Osh Regional Department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision has begun actions to eliminate the consequences of pollution caused by the recent alaman ulak competitions held in the Uzgen district.

The main reason for the intervention was numerous reports of litter left by both participants and spectators of the events. In this regard, the agency issued official directives to the local authorities of the Bash-Döbö and Tört-Köl rural administrations, demanding urgent cleanup in the designated areas.

According to information from the Ecological and Technical Supervision Service, one of the event organizers, Zhanish Niyazov, was held accountable for violating environmental regulations. He was fined 5,500 soms under Article 115, Part 1 of the Code of Offenses for littering in unauthorized places.

Currently, active cleanup efforts are underway at the site. The process involves both the event organizers and representatives of the local administration, as well as residents of the surrounding areas.

The Ecological and Technical Supervision Service reminds that organizers of mass events are responsible for adhering to sanitary norms and timely waste disposal.

Turmush reported that on February 8, in the Uzgen district, the famous ulakchy player Manas Niyazov, a forward for the "Dostuk" kok-boru team, celebrated the "sünnöt toya" [circumcision] of his children and the 75th anniversary of his parents.

As part of the festivities, an alaman ulak was held, attended by guests from other countries. The competitions took place on the shores of the Kemir-Abad reservoir.

It is estimated that over 20,000 to 30,000 people attended the event.

It is worth noting that during the equestrian sports competitions, a 27-year-old ulakchy died, and a spectator from Suzak was involved in an accident and sustained serious injuries.

In the evening, on the Osh—Bishkek highway, inspection staff worked in an enhanced mode to prevent traffic jams and ensure public order after the competitions.

The Niyazov family is renowned for its outstanding players in "kok boru" and "ulak tartysh" - Manas, Zhanish, Bayaman, Kyaz, and Bayysh. Manas was the first to start playing "ulak tartysh" in their family.

Following in the footsteps of his father, who was also an ulakchy, Manas decided to engage in this traditional game, receiving support from his brothers.

The Niyazov family has 5 sons and 2 daughters, and all of them participate in ulak tartysh.
