In connection with the resignation of the head of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic, there are attempts by certain interested groups in the information space to undermine trust in the national security agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic. These statements and interpretations represent a one-sided approach and are aimed at reducing citizens' trust in state institutions. Employees of national security are subordinate to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Kyrgyz Republic, as stated in the agency's press service message.
According to the agency, the activities of the national security agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic are carried out in strict accordance with the Constitution and legislation of the country, while adhering to the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society. The main priority of the GKNB is to ensure the security of the state, protect the constitutional order, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as counter threats such as terrorism, extremism, and corruption.
“We are confident that all emerging questions and doubts should be addressed exclusively within the legal framework, based on facts and verified information. Attempts to undermine the reputation of state structures without sufficient evidence harm not only the specific agency but also the overall level of trust in society,” the press service notes.
The agency calls on the public, the media, and high-ranking officials to refrain from harsh criticism of the employees of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic, who diligently and with a great sense of responsibility perform their duties. The work to ensure the security of the country will continue with consistency and principle in the interests of the people and the state,” the message emphasizes.
