At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a draft law on state awards was discussed, during which Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova raised a question about the new title "Honored Figure of the Kyrgyz Republic."

Justice Minister Ayaz Bayetov clarified that this title will be awarded for outstanding achievements and innovative contributions at the national level. Previously, there was no separate award for such successes, and citizens were given other awards or certificates.

The deputy inquired whether there would be a salary increase for holders of the new title. Bayetov explained that in ten areas, primarily in social professions, salary increases are provided for having state awards.

Mavlyanova also raised the issue of how the state recognizes the contributions of entrepreneurs to the economy. She noted that private entrepreneurs play a key role in economic development by creating jobs and paying taxes; however, their achievements often go unnoticed.

The minister agreed on the necessity of awarding such entrepreneurs, stating that the title "Honored Figure" would be appropriate for them.

The deputy also asked about the statistics on awards among entrepreneurs, noting that their share constitutes less than 1% of the total number of awardees. According to a representative of the Cabinet, since 2010, the title "Honored Entrepreneur" has been awarded to only seven individuals.
