Today, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the bill "On the Ratification of the Financing Agreement and the Grant Agreement for the 'One Health' Project" was discussed and adopted in the third reading.
The deputies voted in favor of its adoption.
The main objective of this bill is to strengthen the health of the population and animals, as well as to improve the environmental situation in the country.
The project is aimed at combating zoonotic infections, preventing antimicrobial resistance, and ensuring food safety.
According to the agreements, for the implementation of the first phase of the 'One Health' project, 30 million dollars will be allocated to the Kyrgyz Republic in the form of a loan and 1.79 million dollars as a grant.
The loan is provided for a period of 50 years with a grace period of 10 years and a zero interest rate.
