During the meeting of the committee on international affairs, defense, security, and migration, the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Zhanybek Kerimaliev, announced the allocation of over 30 million dollars for Kyrgyzstan under the "One Health" program. This statement was made in connection with the discussion of the project "On the Ratification of the Agreement on Financing and the Grant Agreement for the 'Phase 1 for the Kyrgyz Republic' Project" with the International Development Association and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, signed on July 11, 2025, in Bishkek.

Kerimaliev specified that a loan of 30 million dollars will be provided for the implementation of this initiative, as well as a grant of 1.79 million dollars.

“This project represents an ambitious initiative aimed at improving the health of the population, animals, and the environmental environment. The first phase includes three key components designed to strengthen the core capacity of the system under normal conditions and support critical functions in emergencies. This underscores the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing global health issues within the framework of the regional 'One Health' program,” he added.

The key areas of the project include combating zoonotic infections, preventing antimicrobial resistance, and ensuring food safety, noted Zhanybek Kerimaliev.
