Deputy Bolot Ibragimov called for the introduction of additional sanctions for those who violate traffic rules.

He emphasized that "driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime, and it is time to confirm this not only with words but also with changes in legislation. It is necessary to introduce a monetary fine, and in the case of repeated violations, to increase its amount. Additionally, voters also suggest involving such offenders in community service," Ibragimov noted.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov reported that this issue is currently under consideration.

The deputy also highlighted the need to increase the bonuses for inspectors who monitor compliance with the rules.

Ibragimov believes that "10% of the fine amount as a bonus to the inspector's salary is insufficient. Increasing these payments will ensure that there are no drunk drivers on the streets of Bishkek and throughout Kyrgyzstan."

Urmambetov supported this viewpoint.

"Yes, at present we allocate 10%, but this is not a final measure. We will prepare the relevant initiatives for discussion in parliament," added the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
