At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Law and Order on January 13, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Oktobyr Urmambetov reported on the testing of the average speed control system on the road section connecting Bishkek and Tokmok.
Urmambetov stated that specialized cameras had been installed on this section of the road, and during the testing period, 7,406 cases of speeding were recorded.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the main objective of the testing is to assess the effectiveness of the new mechanism, which records not only individual cases of speeding but also compliance with speed limits throughout the entire monitored section.
However, he did not specify the period during which these violations were identified.
