As part of his initiative, the deputy proposed the following measures to the government:
- to designate specific places where the sale of alcohol is permitted and to impose a ban on its sale in other locations;
- to prohibit the retail sale of alcoholic products after 8:00 PM;
- to impose restrictions on the sale of alcohol in cafes and restaurants after 10:00 PM;
- to ban online sales of alcoholic beverages;
- to include alcoholic products in the list of goods subject to mandatory digital labeling.
Furthermore, Magerramov emphasized that the ministries of culture and information, health, as well as education should develop a comprehensive program for the prevention of alcoholism among youth and minors, using modern digital and media platforms.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan had previously made similar proposals.
