The conference started on January 21 and will last until January 23. It is organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Indian International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) with the support of International IDEA, as part of India's presidency in this international organization in 2026.
The event is also attended by leaders of electoral bodies from countries that are members of International IDEA, as well as representatives from other states. The main goal of the conference is to discuss current challenges and opportunities in electoral administration, as well as to exchange experiences and best practices.
